The "Outback Overlander" & "Global Overlander" Expedition Habitats

We are currently manufacturing our premium Overland Expedition Habitat boxes for upcoming media and website showcases. Engineered for ultimate durability and refined comfort, our habitats are designed to fit a wide range of cab-chassis vehicles—including the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Iveco Daily, Fuso, Isuzu NPS, and Mercedes-Benz Unimog—and can be seamlessly adapted for larger heavy trucks.

Our expedition boxes are meticulously designed for the discerning traveler, featuring a permanent, luxury pocket-sprung North-to-South bed, a spacious U-shaped lounge for optimal relaxation, and intelligent, ample storage solutions throughout.

Technical Specifications: Outback Overlander

  • Premium Construction: Built with a 100% 42mm full composite shell with 44mm floor and roof! featuring an external exoskeleton and robust internal bracing—a proven design concept we have previously deployed for vehicles traveling globally.

  • Water Management: 365-liter fresh water capacity featuring a 3-stage filtration system, including UV sterilisation.

  • Advanced Power System: Powered by a 24VDC system utilising a 400Ah lithium battery bank (equivalent to 800Ah @ 12VDC), with options to increase capacity based on your power requirements.

  • Victron Energy Integration: Equipped with 1,095W of high-voltage solar panels, a Victron MultiPlus 24/3000/70 inverter/charger, integrated Bluetooth connectivity, and an onboard digital monitoring screen for real-time electrical and tank level diagnostics.

  • Premium Lighting: Over 28 meters of fully dimmable LED lighting installed throughout the habitation box.

  • Marine-Grade Electrical Engineering: All wiring is safely routed through conduit. Low-voltage AC (240V) is completely isolated from extra-low-voltage DC systems. Every AC circuit is individually protected by two-pole RCBOs for uncompromised safety.

  • Climate Control & Plumbing: Features a top-tier Truma Combi diesel boiler and hydronic heating system, strategically ducted to eliminate cold spots. All plumbing is strictly internal to prevent freezing, utilising grey piping routed and ready for external tank integration. A high-efficiency Dometic rooftop inverter air conditioner handles cooling.

  • Vibration-Proof Cabinetry: All internal cabinetry is glued and dowelled rather than screwed, eliminating the risk of components loosening over time. Every bolt utilized is either a Nyloc or a secondary locking bolt. We exclusively use premium, furniture-grade soft-close hardware secured with glued Euro screws to withstand intense corrugations.

Engineering Born from Decades of Experience

Our design philosophy is rooted in decades of firsthand industry expertise. Having spent the 1990s and 2000s repairing European composite caravans and motorhomes for industry leaders like Hymer and Dethleffs, we gained invaluable insight into why structural components fail over time.

We engineered those common vulnerabilities out of our products. While many manufacturers still use rivets or screws to anchor cabinetry directly to composite walls—which inevitably leads to fiberglass de-lamination from the foam core—we utilise advanced, high-strength bonding methodologies. The result is a rugged, no-nonsense expedition box built to endure the harshest environments on earth.
